展览介绍
本次展览将展出12位艺术家创作的绘画、摄影、影像和装置作品，展览以“水墨经验”为主题来重新审视“水墨”，以此探讨“水墨”在当代的可能性及与之相关的深层文化议题。
works of painting, photography and installation of 12 artists will be exhibited. themed as ink painting experience, the exhibition will re-examine ink experience in order to explore its possibility in contemporary times and related cultural topics.
张健君作品：上海幻园
倪小舟作品：“断竹”系列
展览将分为两个部分：第一部分是张健君、曾翰、汤南南、倪小舟以摄影、影像、装置的方式对“水墨画”的核心符号“山水竹石”，以“物”的形式所做的呈现和诠释，在这一讨论当中是将传统中国画的符号剥离了出来，让这些符号回归到“物”本身，而这种回归并不是真的回归到自然之物，实际上，在艺术家们的当代文化和艺术视野中，这些作为“物”存在的对象早已在新的“文化之眼”中获得了一种更新的意义和内涵。
this exhibition will be divided into two parts. one is presentation and interpretation in the form of object for mountain, water, bamboo and stone, the four core symbols of ink painting, featuring as photography, video and installation by zhang jianjun, zeng han, tang nannan and ni xiaozhou. in this part, the curators strip out the symbols of traditional chinese painting to get these symbols back to the object itself. this kind of return is not really a return to nature. as a matter of fact, in the artists’view of contemporary culture and art, these things, which exist as object, have already acquired a new meaning and connotation in the new cultural eye.

第二部分名为“多维视域”，集中了芭芭拉·艾德斯坦、张方白、陈红波、丁文卿、刘伟、吕红迪、许峰、赵儒楠这八位艺术家的作品，这八位艺术家虽然年龄、背景各不相同，但都拥有着对水墨经验的不同思考和呈现。他们有的从对文人画意境的感受性出发进行创作，有的则受到中国画主题和画面构成的启发，还有的则把文人画相关联的审美概念结合当代人的情绪在自己的作品中进行了转化，也有对经典图式的解构……这八位艺术家的作品从不同的视域推进了水墨在当代的进程，共同为我们呈现了当代人视角各异的“水墨经验”。
the other part called multidimensional vision presents eight artists’works, such as barbara edelstein, zhang fangbai, chen hongbo, ding wenqing, liu wei, lv hongdi, xu feng and zhao runan. although these eight artists share no similarity in age and background, they have their own understanding about ink experience. some of them create out of the feeling of artistic conception of literati painting; some may be inspired by the composition of the theme and picture of chinese painting; others may transform the aesthetic concept associated with literati painting and the emotions of contemporary people in their own works and deconstruct classical diagram. these works show vivid expressive force from different horizons of ink painting at the present times and jointly present us with different perspectives of ink painting experience.

通过这两个部分的展览，试图重新去思考包裹着中国传统文化内核的“水墨”是怎样打动了当代人，当代人又是怎样以当下的视角和生存经验来做出回应的，唯有此，再去思考与之关联的传统文化观和价值观，也才有了更实在的、积极的现实意义，并有可能在此之上深度介入当代的问题和语境。
let’s join hands to rethink about the chinese ink painting wrapped in the core of chinese traditional culture through two parts of the exhibition. how does ink painting touch people of today? and how do people respond according to their current perspectives and survival experience? it is only when we think about the traditional cultural concepts and values associated with them that we have a more practical, positive and realistic meaning.

本次展览将展出至2019年2月10日,并与朱屺瞻艺术馆同期开幕的“常与变：水墨进程中的对话”形成互动，共同推动关于“水墨”话题的深度思考。
theexhibition will last till 10th, february, 2019, interacting withconstancy and change: dialogue in the process of ink paintingexhibited in zhu qizhan art museum opening at the same time. both exhibitions aim to promote the deep thought on the topic of ink painting.
